The weather for once was on our side and thanks to everyone involved in yesterdays game against the MCC.

Although we lost the game, there were many positive comments from the MCC players, officials, and umpires about the potential in our extremely young team. The average age must have been around 21! There were good bowling performances from Ben Collins and Laurence Perry and a few of the batsman looked good, particularly George Bott and Max Levine, getting themselves in but generously let everyone have a go! Chairman Steve Avil, felt the champagne moment was Laurence's reverse sweep (something he's been teaching the U10s on Sunday mornings!). The future looks bright!

Big thanks also go out to Ian Simpson and the ground staff for producing another good wicket, Eileen, Jo and sue for doing the tea, Pete for manning the bar, Prodge for scoring (and helping to clear the food!) and Alan Pearce for standing in for Rod as umpire. Also thanks for all those that came to support the team.
